MICHELLE JOYNER

 Michelle Joyner is a professional writer, actor, director and teacher. Originally from western Massachusetts, Michelle began her career as a fashion model for the famed ELITE Model Agency in New York. She got her first acting job on the long running soap opera SEARCH FOR TOMORROW. She managed to get an English Literature degree from Hunter College while working in theater, commercials, television and movies before moving to Los Angeles, where her acting career flourished. Michelle has guest starred in more than 30 television shows and has dozens of film and theater credits.

 

As a writer, Michelle has adapted nine novels into studio screenplays, and has written and performed her personal essays in literary salons around L.A., including being a repeat performer at THE MOTH Story Slam. Michelle is also a theater director and performer now working in The Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, primarily at SHAKESPEARE AND CO, GREAT BARRINGTON PUBLIC THEATRE and BERKSHIRE VOICES.  She is married to director and producer Robert Egan and is the proud mother to identical twin boys and two step sons.

 

Michelle is thrilled that at THE LONG TABLE she can impart her knowledge from a long and varied career in the arts to a community of wonderful women, each of whom has a unique story to tell. She can't wait to hear yours.
